My name is Autumn. I'm a multidisciplinary artist and a recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA Illustration, 2026). I moved to Toronto from Fujian, China when I was young, and grew up in a corner store that my parents ran. There isn't much for a kid to do in a corner store, so I sat at a table and drew, and our regulars would bring me paint, pencils, and Klutz craft sets as presents. They mentored me and inspired me to create art.
As an artist, I emphasize viewer experience by exploring different ways of engagement with a piece, aiming for people to connect with my work through creating compelling narratives. My current projects include painting a mural of my family's cat and co-illustrating a children's book. Outside of art, I enjoy going on adventures with friends, cooking, and tending to my shrimp aquarium.
